What’s New?

After winning a local competition over Jubilee weekend with a continuous line drawing of the Queen – purely for fun – I remembered how much I loved the freedom of continuous line drawing and how relaxing I find it, so decided one rainy afternoon to whip up some doodles using this technique.

Continuous line drawing is simply drawing without taking your pen off the page, which is oddly satisfying! I began doodling giraffes first (obviously), moving onto other African mammals and then onto vases and plants from my own home which i then added blobs of colour onto using Adobe Illustrator. I was really excited by the outcomes and love how different these pieces have turned out compared to my other projects which require much more detail and time dedicated to them. Some of my pet portraits can take days to complete whereas the longest I spent on the below was the Giraffe image, taking a total of 20 minutes.

I’m thinking of getting these onto my etsy shop as prints, t shirts or tote bags – what do you think?
